On April 24, 2025, Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) hosted its second annual Cultural Connection Day (CCD25), under the theme “Endlessly United!”. This vibrant event brought together students, faculty, and international partners to celebrate the rich tapestry of cultures represented within the ELTE community.
A Day of Cultural Discovery
The daytime festivities took place from 10:00 to 18:00 at the Gömb Aula on ELTE’s Lágymányosi Campus. Attendees enjoyed:
Cultural Performances: Live showcases featuring Filipino, Ecuadorian, Mongolian, and other international traditions.
Interactive Exhibits: Cultural booths presented by embassies, NGOs (non-governmental organizations), and university organizations offered hands-on experiences and activities.
Passport Raffle: Visitors collected stamps at each booth to enter a raffle and win exciting prizes.
This immersive event provided a unique opportunity for participants to explore global cultures and engage in meaningful intercultural exchange.
Evening Entertainment
The celebration continued into the evening at Treffort Kert & Könyvtár Klub on the Astoria Campus. Starting at 20:00, guests participated in:
Cultural Pub Quiz: A fun, educational quiz night that tested attendees’ knowledge of world cultures in a relaxed and social atmosphere.
The evening program fostered connection and camaraderie among attendees from diverse backgrounds.
