The dance theatre production “Prayer Locked in the Body” tells the story of the tragic and sudden paralysis of former dancer Renátó Horváth and the periods of his life that went with it. A life that changed dramatically in a couple of hours. The quadriplegic young man tells personally, in his own words, about his ordeals from the gateway to a “new life”. Events, feelings and struggles come to life through the language of dance. The performance explores topics such as facing a changed life, the temptation of death, drug addiction, panic disorder, acceptance, reintegration into society and the search for new paths. But perhaps the most important thing is how human relations develop in such a situation. Empathy, or the lack of it…
