„Számomra az évad összes műve közül a legizgalmasabb projekt Beethoven Hármasversenye lesz, amelyben a két művészzsenivel Kirill Gersteinnal és Ilya Gringolts-cal léphetek egy színpadra. At the season-closing concert of Hungary’s most renowned chamber orchestra, the Franz Liszt Chamber Orchestra once again steps beyond the perceived boundaries of the chamber music genre and ventures into symphonic territory—a bold move their audience has come to expect and admire.
Artistic director and world-famous cellist István Várdai shared his thoughts on the upcoming performance:
“For me, among all the works of the season, the most thrilling project will be Beethoven’s Triple Concerto, where I’ll have the honour of sharing the stage with two exceptional musical minds, Kirill Gerstein and Ilya Gringolts. In the first half of the program, there’s another highlight: Beethoven’s piano concerto, which Kirill will perform in a ‘play and lead’ style—both as soloist and conductor—allowing us to create a uniquely intimate and sensitive chamber atmosphere even within the framework of a grand symphonic work.”
